The 8th grade band, 7th and 8th grade choir and the Kiwanis Kitones provided excellent patriotic music. Also, the Legion Honor Guard presented the colors to start and dismiss the ceremony.

I submitted a resolution to the Mayor and City Council for the removal of Loading and Unloading Only on the east side of the building. The city council voted to remove the signs at their meeting on November 7.

Congratulations to Jill Kottich and the 6th grade music class for an excellent program on October 22. It was very well attended and the students were great. Thanks to the 6th grade teachers for helping at the audition.

Congratulations to Dan Frisbie for the band program on October 29.

Congratulations to Juanita Hill for being nominated for the 4-H Meritorious Service Award for Seward County 4-H in 2007. This award goes to individuals or organizations that have contributed to the growth 4-H members and the program for many years. Her work in 4-H After school Program is being recognized.
