Seward High Students Capture Eleven First Place Photography Awards At District Contest

Seward High students captured eleven first place awards at the annual Nebraska Federation of Women’s Clubs District IV Fine Arts Festival and Contest held at the Seward Civic Center on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 in an all day event. The student entries from Seward were sponsored by the two Federated Women’s Clubs in Seward, the GFWC Seward Junior Women’s Club and the GFWC Seward Woman’s Club. The local clubs sponsored the entry fees for the student entries. All the entries from Seward had been selected first place winners in the local contest held earlier in March.

The blue ribbon, first place awards will travel to the NFWC State Convention to be judged against the other five districts at the state conference art and photography show. Local chairs for the NFWC Fine Arts Day were Jean Kolterman of the GFWC Seward Women’s Club and Julie Biggs of the GFWC Seward Junior Women’s Club.
