Professional Football Star and Seward Native, Sam Koch, to be Honored on July 4th in Seward!

Seward High graduate, Sam Koch, will be honored as the recipient of the 2008 Nebraskan’s Friend Award by the Seward Fourth of July Committee and the City of Seward. The hometown hero, is a professional football player and punter for the Baltimore Ravens football team. The 6’1”, 230 pound athlete was a star punter of the Cornhusker Football team and graduated from the University of Nebraska with a degree in Business Administration. He and his wife, Niki and their three children, Ryan -8, Braxtyn-3 and Kaidyn-1 all live in Baltimore and will return to be honored on the Fourth of July at the Seward celebration.
The theme for the Fourth of July is “Celebrating the American Dream” and Sam and his family will be honored at the Governor’s annual reception, ride in the parade and receive the award at the Seward bandshell.
