On Saturday, October 11th, the guard arrived at the high school for practice by 9 a.m. They soon departed at 10:30 a.m. for Lincoln High School to compete. Once in Lincoln, the guard put on their make-up and outfits, stretched, did a cheer to pump themselves up, and went to the practice field. By 1 p.m. the guard and band took the field for competition. The Colorguard ended up scoring a 140/200, which is a Division II rating. Wish them luck next week at Schuyler!
Quotes from a Colorguard member and parent:
Tiffani Toft: “I loved the girls’ attitude towards this past Saturday’s performance. They took it seriously, but they still had fun with it. We really improved from our Columbus competition, too bad the judges were a little harsh on us.”
Chris Toft: “YOU GUYS ROCKED!”
