On Tuesday, September 8th the Lady Jay softball team kept their unbeaten record at 7-0.  The Beatrice Orangemen came to town with an 8-0 record.  Seward started off hot, with two runs in the first inning and one in the second.  Beatrice couldn’t respond.

For the Jays, Beth Bohuslavsky, and Amber Topil put up a hit apiece. Tatum Peery, and Kelsey Hoehler each had two hits.  Peery had a double bringing in two runs, and Brittany Telecky batted in another run. The Jays stayed tough on defense only allowing one run, for a final score of 3-1. Telecky pitched the win with nine strikeouts.

Coach Pat Piskorski quotes, “Yes, I am pleased with the win. However I’m not overly enthused.  It was a game I expected us to win. I knew we were the better team and it just took a score to prove.”
