Seward Rotary Honor Logan Franck as Youth Rotarian of the Month

Logan Franck, a Seward High Senior, was recently honored by the Seward Rotary Club as the January Seward Youth Rotarian of the Month by the Seward Rotary Club at the noon luncheon meeting at the Jones National Bank and Trust in Seward. The club was introduced to Logan and presented with his background information by Rotarian Clark Kolterman. He is the son of Pam and Jon Franck of Seward. He was presented with a Rotary Banner and information and mementos from the Seward Club about Rotary International.
Logan is a scholar-athlete and has been involved in sports throughout his high school career. He is a four year member of the SHS Football team- as a Wide Receiver, Corner and Wingback, named to the “Academic All State” list twice, is a four year member of the SHS Soccer team and played Basketball for Seward High for three years. Logan is the President of the SHS Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Vice President of the SHS Senior Class, Vice President of the SHS Student Council, Member of the SHS National Honor Society, member of the SHS Academic Decathlon Team and a member of the SHS Quiz Bowl team. He has participated with the SHS Speech team with an informative speech and played trombone in the SHS band.
His “Service Above Self” requirement was fulfilled in serving area youth in various athletic practices and competitions. He is involved in the Seward Recreation Program and has also mentored as a tutor. He is a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Seward and participates in the Bob and Lana Urban Godparent youth program of the church. He is employed part time with the Lindner and Johnson CPA firm. He has not decided on his college or a possible career choice yet.
Logan was presented with a Seward Rotary Club book scholarship and is a finalist for the Seward Rotary Club “Service Above Self” scholarship. He will be recognized again at the annual SHS Honors Day in the spring. One student is honored each month by the Seward Rotary Club. The forms are available in the SHS Counselor’s office.
