The jv volleyball team traveled to Platteview on Tuesday, September 15. The Jays started off slow and got down by six points right at the beginning but then things started to pick up. The highlight of the game was Jess Cordle making a run of 16 points. This flustered the Platteview Trojans and the game was pretty much over after this. The scores of the games were 25-8 and 25-21.
On Thursday, September 17 the girls had to play their best competition yet this year. The game was against Wahoo Neumann. Both teams came out strong and were ready to play. The games were neck and neck the whole time and came down to the last few points. The top servers for the game were Kallie Heath with seven points and Grace Smetter with five. Jess Cordle stated, “It was good to finally see some good competition. It made us push ourselves and rise to the occasion!”
