First FFA Lunch Meeting

by Michaela Kroft

October 08, 2009

The first FFA lunch meeting was held this month. During their lunch period, instead of going to the cafeteria, members went to Mr. Broderick’s class and had walking tacos, fruit, and cookies. “The food was delicious! There is always a wide variety to choose from,” said Taylor Wild. Usually members had to remember to bring the two-dollar lunch fee, but this year, the fee for all of the lunches was included in the annual dues. When asked about the lunch meeting, Mr. Broderick said, “Our first lunch meeting was very successful and I was very happy with the turn out. We love getting people involved with FFA, and by having these lunch meeting, we are doing just that!”

The purpose of the first lunch meeting was to welcome all of the members back from summer and to inform them of the upcoming events FFA will hold. Some of these events include the new member banquet, National Convention, the Pumpkin Relay and the Turkey Walk/Food Drive. “I’m looking forward to the new member banquet this year, because we always encourage new members in FFA. I think we will have quite a few new members join this year!” stated officer Annie Ahrens.
