Professional Development 1/4/10
by Brad Best
January 26, 2010
On the first day back in 2010, teachers had a full day of professional development time, spending the morning with our guest speaker, Mark Shaeronbroich. Our focus for the morning was to provide ideas and stimulate thinking in regard to making positive connections with students. Mr. Shaeronbroich was very well received and delivered a powerful message. You may download an information flyer on the discussion by clicking here.
The morning was conducted in cooperation with the Milford and Centennial school districts and all classified staff from Seward with over 400+ present for the morning sessions.
We also had our “welcome back luncheon” for all Seward staff in the high school cafeteria, which was followed by a presentation by Dr. Barnes on the general process for annual contract negotiations. Teachers returned to their buildings for staff meetings later in the afternoon. It was a great way to kick off another calendar year!
