SHS Senior, Kayleah Moravec is the October SHS Fine Arts Youth of the Month

Kayleah’s fine arts involvement during her Seward High School years includes; Drum Major, Section Leader, Marching Band, Jazz Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Pep Band, One-Acts, Musicals (including two leads), Swing Choir, Select Choir, Small Group Choir, District Music Competition, Speech, and singing the National Anthem at volleyball games. 

She is also involved in fine arts outside of school in the Casa melodrama, Cantors for three churches, sings the National Anthem for community events, sings for weddings and funerals, is a member of the Summer Chamber Choir, is the Youth Choir Director for St. Wenceslaus Church, and participates in Concordia’s Musical Arts Day each year.  Kayleah has taken private voice and instrumental lessons in Seward and in Lincoln.  She plays several instruments and sings in different languages.

Kayleah is a member of the SHS National Honor Society and a member of the SHS Honor Roll.  She has also been an SHS Student of the Month.

She is a member of the Seward High School Cross Country Team and SKILLS USA.  She plans to attend Concordia University, majoring in Music and Pre-Med.  She is the daughter of Pam and the late Dan Moravec of rural Seward.
