Seward High Students Participate in Concordia University Drama Speech 2016 Workshop

Eight students from Seward High School participated in the recent Concordia University Drama/Speech workshop at the CU TLEC Building on Saturday, September 9, all day with the members of the CU Drama and Speech students and Drama Professor Bryan Moore and the CU Speech team and CU Forensics Coach Prof. Andrew Moffitt.  Students attending included Nana Abenna Wright, Bailey Mooney, Jacob Spidell, Abby Van Velson, Madalyn Lobmeyer, Kenna Gottschalk, Grace Orwen and Shea Sova .  SHS Drama instructor, Clark Kolterman, served as the teacher/sponsor for the SHS group, assisted by Jayme Lowe of CU Teacher Aid at SHS.

The students participated in a series of workshops involving presentations and demonstrations by students from CU and Professor Moore and Professor Moffitt.  They participated in a series of discussions, demonstrations and “hands on” drama and speech projects.  The day included a tour of the campus and lunch sponsored by the Concordia Foundation and Admissions Office.

A special presentation by members of the CU Improv Team, the Improvables, concluded the all day workshop.
