Molly is a very involved leader and serves in a variety of Fine Arts Activities at Seward High School and in the community.  She has been a member and leader of the SHS Marching Band all four years of High School, as well as Pep Band, Symphonic Band and lettered in Band three times.

She has been a member of the SHS Speech team in the area of Informative Public Address and recognized with many awards for two years.  She was also involved in the musicals at SHS.

Molly has also been a member and leader of the SHS National Honor Society since her sophomore year of high school and she is always on the Honor Roll for her academic achievements.

Molly has been a leader in the FFA Public Speaking Competition-named First Place in FFA Cooperative Speaking competition at the District Level and placed with a Bronze Medal at the State FFA level of competitive speaking. She has been a recognized leader in the SHS FFA, with numerous awards for leadership and represented SHS at various FFA leadership conferences and meetings.

Molly has devoted many volunteer hours to assist in the reconditioning and programing at the Olde Glory Community Theater in Seward.

Molly has been very involved with the Seward County 4-H program for over ten years; a leader in her own clubs (she is a member of three 4-H Clubs) as well as with the Seward County Junior Leaders 4-H group-currently serving as the Green Machine 4-H Club President.  Molly has been recognized time and again in a host of 4-H Fine Arts activities in art, sewing, public speaking and leadership-both on the local and state levels.

Molly is an active member of St. John Lutheran Church-one of the voices for St. John Youth and involved in the local church’s God Parent program, as well as attending the recent National Youth Gathering, volunteering for a host of activities-often involving the youth of the church-especially in the area of their St. John Vacation Bible School.

Molly has devoted hundreds of hours to assisting and working with the 4-H young members, serving as a mentor to many young, new 4-H members.  Many of her “Service Above Self” hours are devoted through her work with the various 4-H and FFA community service projects.  In one project-her Diamond Clover Award project, she alone distributed 50 pairs of pajama pants to assist those in poverty-25 which she purchase on sale and 25 which she cut out and sewed-all for the Wounded Knee District School on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation!
