SHS International Student Hannah Kinzelberger Shares “Christmas In Austria”

Hannah Kinzelberger, of Oberwaltersdorf, Austria is the only international student attending Seward High School, in Seward, Nebraska this year and was welcomed back to Seward Rotary Club meeting.  The members of the Seward Rotary Club recognized Hannah with special Christmas gifts from Seward and Nebraska at their recent meeting on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at the Jones Bank.  She attended the luncheon, club meeting and program featuring the SMS Select Choir performing a Christmas concert. Other special guests were the area Pastors of Seward.  . 

Hannah was introduced to the membership by Rotarian Clark Kolterman and presented with some local gifts from the Rotary Club! She introduced Jana Hughes, her host for the school year.    She shared some special facts on her country of Austria with a poster presentation and promised to return in the spring to be the featured program at Rotary.   She is the daughter of Gerhard and Gabrielle Kinzelberger.  Her host family is John and Jana Hughes of rural Seward. She is taking a full class schedule and participating and part of the Seward High Volleyball team and taking piano lessons from Sally Jost in Seward.  

Following the Rotary Club meeting, Hannah attended the Christmas Meeting of the GFWC Seward Woman’s Club and gave a presentation on “Christmas In Austria” for the local Woman’s Club membership at 1:00 at the Seward Civic Center in the Woman’s Club meeting rooms.  At the GFWC Seward Woman’s Club meeting, she was also welcomed to Seward and presented with special Nebraska and Seward Gifts in the spirit of Christmas giving.  Both the GFWC Seward Woman’s Club and Seward Rotary Club hold international memberships –with club members around the world.
