Third Grade is an exciting time for students.  We are still working on “learning to read,” but moving toward “reading to learn.”  Math skills that were taught in the previous grades are now taken to a higher level.  These skills include:  multiplication, division, fractions, place value, multi-digit addition and subtraction, decimals, measurement and geometry.  Our Social Studies and Science are text book based with hands on experiences.  These subjects are assessed at the end of each unit.  One of our many integrated highlights is embryology.  We are eager to create an environment for third graders to help them become successful learners.
