Seward High Speech Team Places Fourth at Concordia Speech Tourney

Nana Abenaa Wright –Seward High Senior won First Place in the Poetry Division of the CU tourney and she and Kenna Gottschalk also won First Place in Duet.  Thomas Bosmeniel –SHS Junior, was third in the Prose Collection (POI) and Evan Nottingham place Second in Impromptu Speaking, with Ryan Wall-SHS Sophomore placing Third in Impromptu Speaking.  The SHS team placed Fourth overall!

Team members attending included Nana Abenaa Wright-Poetry, Duet, Kenna Gottschalk-Duet, Thomas Bosmeniel-Poetry, Persuasion, Impromptu, and Prose Collection, Cayden Glandt-Persuasion, Abby Van Velson-Persuasion and Serious Prose, Sam Briggs-Persuasion, John Meyer-Persuasion, Evan Nottingham-Extemporaneous Speaking and Impromptu Speaking, Bailey Mooney-Poetry and Impromptu, Peyton Davis Schmidt-Duet, Maci Spotanski-Duet, Tirey Bearup, Taylor Brodecky-Serious Prose, Katryna Rukas-Serious Prose, Greta Hughes-Serious Prose, and  Ryan Wall-Impromptu. Each student competed in two presentations, and three if they made finals. 

Coach for the SHS Team is Clark Kolterman, SHS educator of Seward.  Local judges for Seward at the contest included Emma George, Austin Taibemal, Austin Van Velson, Emily Kohlbaum and Clark Kolterman.
