Nana Abenaa Wright and Kenna Gottschalk Medal at Conference Speech-2017
Launch the media gallery 1 playerSHS Senior, Nana Abenaa Wright and Junior Kenna Gottschalk both won medals at the recent Central Conference Speech Tourney held at Schuyler on Monday, Feb. 20 in an all day tourney. Wright placed Third with her poetry collection and Wright and Gottschalk placed Fifth with their Duet from “The Help!”
Almost all of the members of the team received Superior ratings by the judges for their presentations at the tourney. Presented Superior ratings at the Central Conference were Cayden Glandt, Kenna Gottschalk, Nana Abenaa Wright, Taylor Brodecky, Thomas Bosmeniel, Sydney Erickson, Andrew Pavel Peyton Davis Schmidt, Macie Spotkanski, Kevin Lyons, and Madalyn Lobmeyer. York High won the tourney and Seward placed Seventh.
Launch the media gallery 2 playerThe team will now compete at the Waverly tourney on March 4, Evening of Oratory at SHS on Monday, March 6 and Districts on March 13 at Columbus Lakeview. From the District, the top three medalists will advance to State Speech in Kearney. Clark Kolterman is their speech coach.
