Students Place at the Waverly Speech Tourney

Thomas Bomeniel was named Champion Speaker in Serious Prose at the recent Waverly Speech tourney.  He presented a ten minute cutting from the “Tell Tale Heart” by Edgar Allen Poe.  Jarod Harris 3^rd place in Extemp and also medaled in Entertaining Speaking with the rank of 3^rd place.  Gracie Sullivan placed 5^th in Serious Prose Literature and Virginia Glaser and Thomas Bosmeniel place 4^th with their Duet “Pig Hives.”

Students attending from SHS included Emily Gokie, Elizabeth Gokie, Bailey Mooney, Abby Van Velson, Alex Sick, Virginia Glaser, Catryna Rukas, Gracie Sullivan, John Myers, Jarod Harris, and Thomas Bosmeniel.

The team was coached by Assistant Speech Coach Melissa Pohl.
