High School Highlights

Seward High School saw many changes during the 2003-04 school year. One constant was that we started and completed our tenth year in the intensive block schedule utilizing niney-minute class periods. 120 students graduated in May of 2004. Of those students, 94 took the ACT and had a composite average of 22.2, which was above the state and national averages.

We had many accomplishments in the activity and athletic areas. Of the 120 graduates, the senior class had 30 who graduated with honors. To be an honor graduate, the student must have a four-year cumulative grade point average of 95% or above. Overall, this class performed in an outstanding manner in the classroom.

Seward High School continues to try to implement quality instructional practices. Training in APL will continue for our staff and be implemented in the classroom to benefit our students. We do intend to move from good to great in the education of our students.

"Every Student--Every Day--A Success--Seward." We want this for all of our students.
