Meridian Honor Choir/Band Concert
On April 8, the following students represented Seward Middle School in 19th Annual Meridian Honor Choir/Band Concert in Daykin, NE. The choir students were 7th graders Megan Lee and Claire Miner and 8th Grader Jeff Wesely. The band students were Jordan Seaman, Annie Kamprath, Kayla Lowrey, Desiree Earnest, Luke Stevens, Kevin Kophamer, J.T. Cattle, James Lund, Corey Wesely, and Kenny Stratton. These students were chosen from taped auditions that were submitted in December. Their teachers are Dan Frisbie, band, and Carol Lee Radden, vocal.
The afternoon was spent in rehearsals with guest clinicians Chris Tucker, who teaches at Gretna Public schools, for the honor band and Joel Johnston, who teaches at Milliard West High School, for the honor choir. A public performance at 7:00 PM concluded the afternoon event.
