Dayna Svoboda Selected February Fine Arts Youth of the Month
Launch the media gallery 1 playerSHS Senior Dayna Svoboda was selected the SHS Fine Arts Youth of the Month.
She is the daughter of David and Donita Svoboda of Seward. Dayna has been very involved in the drama program at SHS. She was a member of the One Act plays for three years and named the Outstanding Actress Award at both Central Conference and NSAA District Competitions. She was awarded the NSAA Academic All State Award for Drama.
She won the State Fair Shakespeare Monologue Contest and was a member of the SHS Improv Team and Quiz Bowl Team. She has won the GFWC Seward Woman’s Club Literature Contest and participated in the Seward High Poetry Outloud Contest.
Dayna has been in three SHS musicals and a member of Concert Mixed Choir and a soloist at SHS Hits Night.
She is a member of the SHS Speech team and qualified for state speech contest last year. Dayna recently won the Sweepstakes trophy at the CU Speech Tourney, placing in three of her four entries. She also participated in the VFW Voice of Democracy Speech contest for two years.
She plans to attend Doane College in Crete and major in Theater.
