Seward High Wins Six Medals At Aurora Speech Meet
Seward High captured six medals and a stack of superior ratings at the
recent Aurora High School Speech Tournament in Aurora, Nebraska on Saturday,
February 5, 2011. Dayna Svoboda placed Second in Serious Prose Literature,
Jillan Kongsjord placed Fourth in Entertaining, Carl Heinicke placed Sixth
in Extemporaneous Speaking, Alyssa Sleight 8047087351placed Third in
Informative Speaking, Bryce Van Velson placed Fourth in Poetry (N) and the
Drama Team-consisting of Lauren Shepherd, Sierra Wignall, Sarah Moody and
Allison Leising, placed Fifth in Drama (N). The team placed sixth of the 27
schools competing. Aurora won the tourney. Clark Kolterman serves as their
speech coach.
