SHS Participates in Freshman “Brain Brawl” Quiz Bowl at Lincoln Northeast High

Seward High’s freshmen were represented at the annual freshman “Brain Brawl” Quiz Bowl competition held on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Lincoln Northeast High School in Lincoln, NE.  The contest featured a “round robin” series of matches in the morning to determine placement for the afternoon contest, based on wins, loses and points scored.

Seward High had three teams participating, including Team A-Nathan Sorsen, Jared Kongsjord and Ian Hendrickson, Team B-Shelby Lewis, Myranda Sheldon and Kayla Toovey and Team C-Sirea Peterson, Teresa Tracy and Hayli Forsheiser.  Clark Kolterman served as the advisor and coach.

Elkhorn South High School Freshman Team won the afternoon tournament.
