Sam Brauer Selected May Fine Arts Youth of the Month
Launch the media gallery 1 playerSHS Senior, Sam Brauer, was selected the May Fine Arts Youth of the Month. He is the son of Pat and Larry Brauer of Seward. Sam has been involved in Jazz Band, Marching Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, along with Select Choir and Concert Choir. He participated in two musicals and three one act plays while at Seward High.
Sam was a member of the SHS Speech Team, medaled at Conference Speech in Duet, was a finalist at the State FBLA State Speech Contest and placed first in the AMA Governor’s Cup Speech Contest on “Leadership.” He participated and was a medalist in Poetry Out Loud and a finalist in the VFW Voice of Democracy Speech Contest this year.
He was selected a Sophomore Pilgrim and is a leader in the local SHS National Honor Society. He participated in the SHS Quiz Bowl program and was a member of the SHS Academic Decathlon Team.
Sam plans to attend the University of Nebraska at Kearney this Fall as a scholarship player for the UNK Loper’s Football team as a quarterback. He plans to major in a Pre-Law program at UNK.
