Allison Leising Selected April Fine Arts Youth of the Month
Launch the media gallery 1 playerSHS Senior, Allison Leising of Seward was selected the April Fine Arts Youth of the Month. She is the daughter of the late Gayle Leising and her father David Leising of Seward.
This high school musician has enjoyed a varied and interesting combination of fine arts activities while attending Seward High School. She is a loyal member of the SHS Marching Band, Symphonic Band, and Pep Band. Her membership also includes the SHS Mixed Choir, Musical and performed at the annual SHS Hits Night with a piano solo.
She has been a member of the SHS One Act play, involved with the competition play this year, and has participated in the SHS Musicals annually. She participated in the annual Poetry Out Loud poetry recitation contest and the annual Seward VFW Voice of Democracy Speech Contest, along with her membership and involvement with the SHS Speech Team during her high school career.
She represented SHS at the State Fair Education Division Activities and won with her Shakespeare Monologue and participated in the SHS Improv Team events at the State Fair.
She is an involved member of her church- Seward ‘s historic Frieden’s United Church of Christ, serving as a youth leader in the congregation and a musician.
She plans to attend the University of Nebraska.
