Spencer Kloke Buys First Ticket in Rotary’s “Grocery Grab” Raffle for Independence Landing and Youth Center

Spencer Kloke kicked off the big Rotary Club “Grocery Grab” fundraiser raffle and bought the first ticket at the Seward Rotary Club meeting on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at the Seward Civic Center.He purchased the ticket from the project chairman Greg Barnes, along with Rotarian Rick Endicott of Pac N Save and Shane Baack of the Independence Landing Committee. Spencer Kolke is very interested in the project and has been involved with the project almost since its inception.He participated in the ground breaking ceremony as well.

The tickets will be sold by local Rotarians until 6:00 pm on July 4, when the drawing will be held.You do not need to be present to win.

First prize is a chance to “Grab” for all the groceries and fill a grocery cart in two minutes.There will also be eight “runner-up” gift cards given out that day as well.

All profits, following expenses will be donated to the new Independence Landing project for handicap accessible tables and benches on the various landing areas.The new tables and benches will be bolted to the concrete and are made from recycled materials.Any remaining funds, following the sponsorship of Independence Landing will be donated to the Seward Youth Center.

Tickets are available from all local Seward Rotarians, and can be purchased at the Seward County Independent and Pac and Save!The “Grocery Grab” itself is scheduled for July 12.This project is in conjunction with the 90th Anniversary of the Seward Rotary Club.
