Senator Kolterman Addresses Seniors at Seward High

Senator Mark Kolterman, Senator of the Nebraska Legislative District #24, presented his career and life philosophy at the SHS English 12 class, sharing his life experiences and many career choices-leading to his successful new career as a Freshman Senator.  He is a former Seward High Graduate, President of the Class of 1969, and reflected on his years at Seward High.  He encouraged the Seniors of Seward HIgh to follow their dreams and to pursue some form of higher education.  Kolterman attended the University of Nebraska, graduated from Southeast Community College in the area of Building Trades and is a graduate of Peru State.   He commented on the controversial bills he faced in this year’s legislature and spoke on his stand on the bills and shared why he voted the way he did on the various bills.  Kolterman is the older twin brother of SHS teacher Clark Kolterman.  Senator Kolterman was the second in a series of “Learning from Leaders” in the English 12 class.
