SkillsUSA brings home hardware from national conference.

15 students from Seward High School competed at the National Leadership and Skills  Conference held in Louisville Kentucky the week of  June 24th-28th. All 50 states and 5 territories were represented. Students had to win their state events in order to compete against other states best students. Seward competed well with two earning a National medal and several others narrowly missing a medal. Jarod Harris was elected as a National Officer (the 1st National Officer ever for Seward High School and 1st ever for the State of Nebraska for the high school position). National Medalists were Austin Dobrusky and Eddie Lee who finished 3rd in Web Design, Nolan Whitney and Andrew Alley were 4th in Audio Radio Production,  Cordell Vrbka was 5th in Medical Assisting, The Quiz Bowl Team of Ryan Wall, Garrett Kuss, Brady Smith, Isaac Rolf, Wade Slepicka,  and Isaiah VanBeek were in the top 8 by making finals (but offical results are not available at time of departure). Gillian Mettenbrink was12th in Basic Health Care, Heidi van der Heijden and Landon Nelson finished 18th in 3-D Animation respectively.
