SHS Students Selected to Participate in RYLA Rotary Leadership Week-End

Two Seward High Juniors, Madison Dominy and Keira Lliteras, both of Seward, were participated in a recent interview selection process and were selected to represent Seward High and the Seward Rotary Club in the approaching Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) Leadership Week-end.  They are sponsored by the local Seward Rotary Club and will attend a special week-end leadership retreat, to strengthen and develop leadership skills.  The all-expenses paid leadership week-end is scheduled for April 1-3, 2022.

RYLA is an intensive leadership experience, organized by Rotary Clubs and Rotary Club Districts worldwide, where the students develop their skills as a leader, while having fun and making connections.  The program is offered to the students at no expense to the student, often funded by the local Rotary Clubs. The Seward Rotary Club funds the expenses of the RYLA program for the SHS students and organizes their transportation to and from the three day event.

Madison is the daughter of Matt and Jessica Dominy and Keira Lliteras is the daughter of Dawn and Dave Lliteras, both of Seward.

Judges for the selection process and interviews were Rotarians Bonnie and Jon Kruse, Clark Kolterman and assisted by Dr. Louis Reith- all of Seward.  Arrangements were made by Rotarian Greg Zabka.  The selection process was assisted by Seward High Counselor, Noelle Baker and the SHS Counseling Center.
