Seward High Swedish International Student Visits Seward Rotary Club at Pastor’s Day

The Seward Rotary Club welcomed the Seward High International Student from Sweden, Alma Fredriksson, of Molndal, Sweden-a small community located near Gothenburg, Sweden. She was welcomed and introduced.

She attended the Seward Rotary’s Club’s Christmas program/meeting on Wednesday, December 8th, 2021 at the Club room in the Seward Civic Center.  The luncheon meeting preceded the business meeting.  Also attending were many of the area Pastors of Seward, as it was the annual Seward Roary Club Pastor’s Day!

Alma is the daughter of Claes and Linda Fredriksson in Sweden and her host family are Dr. Jill and Brady Johnson of Seward.   She is 17 years old and arrived in time to kick-off the school year.

Alma is a member of the SHS Women’s Golf team and enrolled as a full time student at Seward High.

She was introduced to the membership and presented with special Seward and Nebraska gifts from the Rotary Club.

She is the only international student enrolled at Seward High this year.

Following the meeting with the members of the Seward Rotary Club, Alma and the Johnson’s attended the Christmas Luncheon Meeting at the Seward Civic Center and shared many of the customs of her country of Sweden.
